Volunteers from dejavato back to school

On January 7, 2025, our school received volunteers from Dejavato for the Workcamp activity it’s start from 6-17 of January, we received 3 volunteers and 1 guide, one of them was Haruka from Japan, Calvin from Hong Kong, Eva from Hong Kong and 1 tour guide Ghanim from Semarang.

As you guys know SMP Negeri 2 Mendoyo always gets the opportunity to be visited by volunteers every year. What a amazing experience for the students and also the volunteers to be here, opportunities that other schools don’t get, lucky us!!

On the first day, they introduced the school area and then continued with cleaning the environment, playing basketball with the students, and do panco with the students.

On the second day, they went to school wearing Balinese traditional clothes because the school have holy activity it’s call ” buda kliwon ugu ” and the volunteers come into the class to introduced the students in class and did simple learning with the English teacher.

The third day, they do the same activities come into the class to teach students, they brings their own materials from home, they request to teach students using projector, the students was happy and excited, also the volunteers very excited everyday.

The fourth day they do same activities come into the class 7,8 or 9 grade in the day to join teach students with the English teacher. Finally meet the Friday the day free-day for the students study, they will do extracurricular full day the volunteer so excited on Friday because they wait to do extracurricular with the students, like do some volleyball, try to do ” Anak Indonesia Hebat ” exercises, play basketball, try to join balinese dancing, play ping-pong, the volunteers was so happy to know extracurricular that students do in Friday. This activity is also monitored by the school supervisor.
